As I describe more fully in my Teaching Philosophy, my approach to teaching can be summarized by three interconnected goals:

  1. To create an environment in which students are actively engaged and invested in the course
  2. To promote an integrative understanding of course content and the field of psychology
  3. To develop critical thinking and effective communication skills

I continually strive to become an even more effective teacher by incorporating student feedback, learning new pedagogical techniques, and developing new materials and activities to engage students.

My teaching interests are broad and I have taught or will be teaching a variety of courses, including:

  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Personality Psychology
  • Seminar in Positive Psychology
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Lab in Social/Personality Psychology
  • Lab in Research Methods

I am also prepared to teach a range of other courses, including but not limited to:

  • Social Psychology
  • Research Methods
  • Statistics
  • Special Topics Courses
